2019–2020

Edgar arrived at Wildwood in June 2019 , with the desire of becoming a medical missionary. Meanwhile, in Colombia, Angelica was seeking God’s will, feeling as if every door was closing. In answer to her prayers, God led her to Wildwood in December 2019. One of the first people she met there was Edgar. They began to get to know each other through mutual friends.

2021

They both took different courses, he did the Ministry management, and she took the Lifestyle coaching course. Edgar had to go back to Mexico to change his visa and when he came back after some months he had to start the curse again. By then Angelica finished her second semester and graduated in December of that year. At that point she was asking God to show her what the next step would be, and God showed her to stay as a worker.

2022

Angelica stayed as an intern while waiting on a visa. Edgar finished his classes went  to Brazil as a missionary. Angelica also had to return to Colombia to apply for a new visa. By God’s grace, her visa was approved, and she returned to Wildwood in December, fully assured that God wanted her there.

Meanwhile, Edgar returned to Mexico unsure of what was next. He thought he wouldn’t return to Wildwood… but God had other plans.

2023

Angelica began working at the Lifestyle Center while Edgar, seeking God’s direction, found himself sent back to Wildwood too—this time as a worker. allowing them to continue with their genuine friendship that was developing after years.

Months passed by and The Holy spirit was moving in both hearts, drawing them individually closer to God.

In November, Edgar began to see that the godly traits he had  prayed for in a life partner were reflected in Angelica. At the same time, God was also speaking to her heart. Then end of the year came and Angelica traveled to Brazil on a mission trip.

2024

While in Brazil, Angelica spent time in prayer, seeking clarity about her feelings for Edgar, not knowing that he also took that month to pray and ask guidance. 

On February Angelica traveled back  to the US,  and after talking about their feelings,  their goals, their future plans and desires, they realized that they were on the same page,  and on February 16th they started a courtship.

Their relationship blossomed with joy, prayer, and purpose. From supporting each other’s goals to learning new hobbies and traveling, every moment felt like a blessing.

2025

As part of their common goals, persuading a career is a dream for both of them, and in God’s providences, they were able to take a CMA curse together and support each other on this step.
As the time passed by it was even more clear that God was guiding them to join their lives together, and on March 30th by a surprise prepared by Edgar and the help of Friends, he asked Angelica to get married, and of course, she said Yes!
God is the author of this story. And now, with grateful hearts, we step into a new chapter—one built on faith, friendship, and forever love.
